luca nistler is a Milan based director working across fashion film, brand campaigns and creative direction, and teaches at IED Milan.
since 2018 he has directed for Gucci, Ferrari Style, Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared2, Emporio Armani, Blumarine, Boggi Milano, Curiel, Cerruti 1881, Herno, Fiorucci and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, alongside editorial work for Vogue, i-D Italy, L'Officiel, Marie Claire and Grazia International.
his approach never starts from the product. it starts from people, atmosphere and story, and the product enters the frame only once the image has found its own truth. the result is an analog, cinematic language built on light, texture and gesture.
his films have screened and competed at more than ten international festivals, from London Fashion Film Festival and A Shaded View on Fashion Film to Berlin Commercial, SHOWstudio Fashion Film Awards and Fashion Film Festival Milano. his latest, “The End Leaves Hidden in the Light” for Curiel FW26, a film in four chapters between live action and 2D animation, is nominated for best 2D/3D animation at London Fashion Film Festival 2026.
